President’s message

The anthropocentric view of the saying of the sophist Protagoras lays the existential and ontological basis of the good of life. For existence and non-existence, value and worthlessness, ideals and ideas, the only criterion is man. He gives meaning to things^. he gives value background and semantic load to everything around him.

The man of the 21st^century, a prisoner of his achievements and progress, immersed in introversion and shaken by the crisis of institutions and human values, seems to seek a way out of the one-way street of materialism and his redefinition on the basis of the humanistic ideals that gave birth to nurtured human civilization.

The Antzoulis Foundation, conscious of the challenges of the time and the necessity of repositioning the man in the center of interest, tries to contribute in this direction^; in the redefinition, that is, of modern life on the basis of human values and ideals and in the turn towards the inner man – as the saying of Heraclitus ” I looked inside myself ” is expressed in a concise and more energetic way.

The promotion of Letters and Arts, the support of the Humanities – and the individual actions related to the fields of Philosophy, Language, Literature, History, Ancient Greek Secretariat, Latin Secretariat, Archeology, Theater Fine Arts, Photography, Cinema and other contemporary art forms – compose the main purpose of the Anzoulis Foundation.

Our noble ambition remains the realization of the above purpose in the context of the general vision of the Foundation, as set by the Board of Directors. The special presence in the field of publishing through open collaborations with publishing houses in Greece and abroad, the financial support of people of culture, young scientists and students, the organization of conferences, workshops and lectures, the support of research programs and collaborations with related Institutions, Museums and Universities of Cyprus, Greece and abroad are just some of the actions that frame the first five-year plan of the Foundation (2021-2026).

Our goal remains the selfless contribution to man and culture.
